All the Pretty Horses makes me want to hurt people

Sat Dec 12, 2009, 10:08 AM
There is no grammar in that book. No quotation marks, no commas, nothing. It's like nails on a chalk board to me.
I know people think that book is great and awesome, and I'm not saying the plot isn't interesting, but the lack of punctuation that Cormac McCarthy uses in that book makes me want to cry. I'm a grammar nerd, so having to read that for class was torture. Unending, painful, torture.
Just thought I'd tell everyone that.
Also, I got to see The Princess and the Frog!!!
It's been a while since I actually saw people stand up and clap when a movie ended, and I have to say this movie was worth it. It's one of the best movies I've ever seen, and I've seen most of the Disney princess movies.

  • Mood: Disgust
  • Listening to: Killed By Love by Alice Cooper
  • Reading: Short Stories by H. P. Lovecraft
  • Watching: The Princess and the Frog
  • Playing: Guitar Hero III
  • Eating: Peanuts
  • Drinking: water...?

I am Josie Profio. I'm slightly schizophrenic and draw yaoi during religion classes that I shouldn't even have to be in considering I'm not religious. I hate the place I live in, and everyone I live with. I have an inner fangirl named Desdemona Hare that appears as a character in some of my stories(I'm writing a whole series of books at the moment that all haven't gotten past the first chapter and all connect to the others in some way.)
I am currently playing through Castlevania: Symphony of the Night which is the coolest game in the world. Also how I got that quote in my info, because my sister and I were joking around about how you'd have to go through hell to get in somewhere and then Maria's just hanging out in there. Like the spiked Hallway and the secret dungeon under the big clock. The spikes are what really annoys me, because I seriously doubt she had Spike Breaker armor.

The time came when every book was cast into the fire, when every symphony was reduced to a popular tune played in all the drinking dens. A sound philosophical basis could be set in place under any vile nonsense. -Night Watch, by Sergei Lukyanenko
